In the 3/4 race I did there were 6 of us. It was by far the most Wild Trak riders we have ever had in one race. Unfortunatly Hannoon and PG both crashed out on the last lap, PG broke his frame but Hannoon was ok. Justin dropped out because of some stomach issues and I never made past the 15 minute mark because I was sweating pure Budweiser out of my pours which sucked major ass. Lucky for the team Jason was ripping it up good and finished 6th in the 3/4 race. He has been riding super strong this year. There were a lot of crashes in this race which took out 1/3 of our team, landed a man in the hospital with a head injury, and also put Mr. James from MESA on the pavement. Shitty as fuck.
After I dropped out of this race I was pretty upset with myself for giving into peer pressure from the night before and going to the gay block party the Alton has on the last Saturday of every month during the summer. I drank as much water as I could to try and hydrate and get ready for the P/1/2/3 race.
When the P/1/2/3 race got going I felt pretty good actually. My legs were not getting tired and my HR was staying controlled and low it felt like. We were nearing the 25 minute mark and I had already gone through 2 water bottles and was super thirsty still. I started hitting up Jason from team who was still riding in our group in the race.
Our race had broken apart early with the break away group formed of 5 strong riders that stayed away the entire race. I stayed in the peleton at the back trying to conserve energy the best I could. It stayed this way for the entire race really... At the 5 laps to go I knew I was going to hang on. At 2 laps to go I started move up a little to get a little better postion for the sprint finish. With 1/3 of a lap to go I started to drill it. I moved up quick right before the final corner and sprinted to a 15th place finish. I think I could have finished near top 10 had I attacked earlier. I had the legs to do it but I am new to racing with the P/1/2 guys and didnt know what to expect. I really think I can beat a lot of those guys....
I am pumped on my riding and know my training and resting is starting to pay off. I have learned more about resting in the past 3 months and how its almost as important as the training it self. My report on this race might be hard to read because was super tired while I typed this.
Anyway... check the nasty hession beard I have going.. It needs to go.

Holla atcha boy....

You sure as hell finished the race strong, cuzzo.
Personally, I love the Webster Groves Criterium and I will race it no matter what shape I am and how hung over I may be.
Shave your beard and your entire body immediately.
Thanks.. Im glad I stayed of the ground as well. The beard is gone and im planning on hitting up at least one or two of the dirt crits. Traffic is terrible getting out there in the evening.
